00:00 Praise Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Brothers and sisters, today the power of Christ Daily 30 January 2016, a Saturday titled Worldly funeral Rituals. Worldly funeral rituals. Brothers and sisters.

00:14 Many times I have mentioned that today I started last night. We got rid of all the things before sleeping, the anger and all that. If not the spirit of anger will be waxing your spirit all night long.

00:27 Your body may be sleeping, but your spirit man is fighting the demonic forces. Spirit of anger. Spirit of anger will harm us.

00:35 Anything that’s left there. The spirit will be harming you. Health will go.

00:40 All this unnecessary. God has given us. Jesus Christ has given us the power to cast out these things.

00:45 Power to overcome our heart and mind and to be right with Christ, to be pleasing in his sight. Now what we have to do, we have to strive for another level of this. For instance, the Spirit of God, Holy Spirit is in you.

00:59 And he will convict you when you’re going wrong. When something happens, he’ll convict you. There will be a stress in your spirit.

01:04 There will be a disturbance in your spirit. There will be something that bothers you. Then you know you have to stop.

01:12 Stop. Stop doing whatever you are doing. Stop and examine yourself and clear it.

01:17 And clear it. Ask for forgiveness. He is a good God.

the Lord.

02:29 You have allowed the Holy Spirit to convict you. But after that it will go less and lesser and lesser because you immediately will say sorry brother, sorry sister, sorry sir, or whatever. And continue and don’t want to offend people.

02:40 You want to believe in Christ. One of the biggest thing is we keep on reading newspapers and news articles and all coming from TV and all, always withdrawing, crushing your faith, taking your faith out of Christ and putting it what the world is
saying. In the economy this happened.

02:55 The politicians take this. These two political parties are arguing or whatever. And then you are forced to in your heart you begin to take some strikes.

03:03 Don’t take strikes, leave it be. Have your faith in Christ. Do not put your faith in man.

03:09 That’s commanded by Jesus Christ. But, but if you put your faith in man, oh, I support this political party. Yes, but finally the political parties are human beings.

03:18 They too make mistakes. Your faith has only been Christ. Now the two political parties may be arguing, quarreling and all.

03:26 They all want one person want to think they can rule the place better, that particular country better or whatever. But when the circumstances change, they have no control because Satan is the ruler of the world. Satan.

03:36 So leave all this behind. You want righteousness, peace and joy to keep your health, to keep your family properly. You live a humble life.

03:44 Jesus will see you through. Now, today, the worldly funeral rituals. Now brothers and sisters, yesterday because of time we couldn’t complete a few things.

06:16 Okay, now that’s clearly yesterday. Now today, today the issue is worldly funeral rituals. This is even worse.

06:24 What has happened is Satan is the ruler of the world. So what he does, he must withdraw your faith out of Christ and put into something else. Take your faith out of Christ and put into something else.

06:35 So that’s what is out to. As long as they can do that, your faith will reduce and your faith will go into some of the activities and some of the customs. Now one of the things that people do, let’s take some Chinese funerals and even Christian
Chinese funerals.

06:51 Some of them do not know what they’re doing. So what happens? They burn things in the Chinese funerals. Actually they believe if they burn paper made bicycles, paper made cars, sometimes they make the scape of Mercedes Benz and they burn all that.

07:04 And believing that this is all follow the soul to heaven and the soul can use it. Now that is a bondage. But we all came from bondages.

07:13 So I’m not condemning anyone here. I used to do all kinds of funny things. Now having said that, next thing is this.

07:20 So these worldly customs will catch you. And you may come from a tradition of set worldly customs and rituals, funeral rituals. And why is this devil allowing this or doing this? So that it can suck the money out.

07:33 Suck the money out of the next generation. The people who are alive now. So a father passes away.

07:39 People use whatever the money. First of all, the hospitals bills would have been tremendous. Already there are many hospitals, as I told you would have just gone and say give you Hope, false hope or whatever go on and on and on.

07:51 And then some chemotherapy. Thousands of dollars per vial of injection or whatever going on and all went into debts. And then they have to do this again.

08:00 Then when they do this, it can be thousands of dollars. Now one of the customs that I’m familiar with is the Nigerian situation, whereby I know several Nigerians, my son in law is a Nigerian. So thank Jesus he is aware of these things.

08:17 Now these Nigerian customs, they keep the body for so long, people are poor, you know, they’re not all well to do. But they want to make sure that and they keep for months. They want to make things ready.

08:29 Some of them keep for several months. And it’s a costly thing in Nigeria. Why? Because they have to have the morgue, they have to have these private places where they can keep the body frozen.

08:39 They need double generators and all that people can’t afford. They have to pay monthly thousand dollar bills or whatever. They have to keep pouring that.

08:46 And then they want the custom or everybody to bear the same dress. They’ll be making, sewing dresses, they’ll be making suits. All this sucks the money out of the living.

08:56 That is the game plan of this Satan. Satan’s game plan is okay. He has already destroyed this soul.

09:03 Now to destroy others they were living make them poor. As long as the Satan can keep people poor, then the poor also will commit sin. It’s not only hard for the rich man to get to heaven, it’s also hard for the poor man to get to heaven.

09:17 Because every day he’s seeking out a living and he’s tempted so many ways to get money. So because of this, the game plan of this satanic Satan, the world ruler of the world, is to make people, keep people bondaged and captive by. And he said many
Christians do this.

09:37 Now first of all, let’s look at the word of God first. John 2, 15, 17. Do not love the world or the things in the world.

09:47 If anyone loves the world, the love of Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the Father, but of but is of the world. And the world is passing away and the last
of it.

10:03 But he who does the will of God abides forever. Now you know from this scripture alone that it’s not good following worldly customs. But they are so stuck.

10:13 They are afraid the people will condemn them if they don’t do this. Or people condemn what these children didn’t care about their father. The Father has done so much for them.

10:13 They are afraid of this condemnation from this world. And then so they afraid and they end up falling. This custom is still going on among Christians.

10:31 And then impoverishing them, keeping them captive. And it’s a tiring thing to do this, you know, this kind of. It’s a very tiring thing.

10:39 Can you imagine, brothers and sisters? So this goes on. So now I’m begging any Nigerian brother or sister listening to this, take a stand. You have to take a stand for what is right.

10:51 That is not right. It’s actually if you want to follow your disciple of Christ. Christ says what? That bury the dead.

11:01 Of course he said that. He’s trying to say what? He’s letting us know that the burial thing is not a big issue. Leave it be.

11:09 Because everybody is destined to die once and thereafter judgment. Now I beg you, brothers and sisters, use the money, the wage. If you.

11:18 If they meditate and ask Jesus Christ, Lord, do I spend this money on this kind of things in this funeral? Do you really think the spirit of God will say yes? Put on the same uniform, make all dresses for everybody, 20 people, all same wearing same.
Let’s do all the songs and dance and going on and on. Keep the body for months at an end in the funeral parlor or in the morgue or whatever.

11:23 Do you really think that Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ will say this? The Spirit of God will say this to you? No. So you. But why you do it? Because sometimes our hearts want it.

11:54 Sometimes our hearts are afraid. People condemn us. That’s why we end up following some of the worldly things.

11:59 Because why we are afraid? Do not be afraid. Fear not. Jesus Christ says fear not.

12:06 Now remember, everyone is responsible for your own. Now that person thank Jesus Christ, prayerfully, hopefully, mercifully, must be with Jesus Christ. Now the living are committing sin.

12:20 The living are committing sin by having these kind of things. Now remember, everyone is responsible for, accountable for their own thing. Galatians 6:5.

12:30 Solely accountable. So now what do we do? That is why, brothers and sisters, today Satan has many, many plans. He has moved into every area.

12:42 He is the God of this world. Actually small God, God of this world. Our Father calls him God of this world.

12:50 The Bible says he is a God of this world. If he is a God of this world, can you imagine how many tricks he will have? But he has no power over a Christian, but a Christian to have power over Satan. But to do that, the Christian must be abiding in
Christ.

13:04 If you abide in me and My words abide in you. If you abide in me and my words abide in you, then you are my disciples. And then you are my disciples.

13:19 Then you obey what my commandments Are you my disciples? Then you know the truth. And truth will set you free. So you can only know the truth.

13:27 You begin to abide in the Word. Keep on knowing the Word and following the word. Oh yes, we can do powerful worship songs.

13:36 And now this drum business again. Drum. There’s a focusing day, a lot of music focus coming on.

13:43 Now remember, as I said, you can do very good to your flesh. But let’s ask this question again for ourselves. To be sincere, if a truthful Christian, let’s ask this question to ourselves.

13:54 Do you really imagine the apostles in the first hundred years or so, Apostles Peter, Paul, James, Jude, John, were going around and having these music sessions everywhere. Ask yourself this. Or were they going around and convicting people of sin and
saying, God is good, Jesus Christ is holy.

14:17 Turn to him. He washed away your sins and you become the child of God. The power to become child of God.

14:23 You have been given the power to be the sons of God. Those who believe now with the power, what you do, you use the power and act as children of God. Use the power and act as children of God.

14:34 Brothers and sisters, today these things you must be watchful. Do not love the world or things in the world. If you love the world, the love of Father is not in him.

16:33 So, pastors, you have to take a stand. Yes, people will condemn you, but that is the calling. The world will condemn you.

16:40 If the world doesn’t condemn you. I think you are part of the world. Brothers and sisters, today let us start and stand for Christ.

16:46 Let us examine ourselves. Pastors in Nigeria, I’m begging you, those who are hearing, I’m begging you, I’m begging you, make a stand. Make a stand for Christ.
