Romans 3:22-25 New King James Version (NKJV)
22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ,
to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus,
25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith,
to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God
had passed over the sins that were previously committed,
1 John 1:9New King James Version (NKJV)
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
2 Corinthians 7:10Amplified Bible (AMP)
10 For [godly] sorrow that is in accord with the will of God produces
a repentance without regret, leading to salvation;
but worldly sorrow [the hopeless sorrow of those who do not believe] produces death.
2 Timothy 3:15-17 Amplified Bible (AMP)
15 and how from childhood you have known the sacred writings (Hebrew Scriptures)
which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith
which is in Christ Jesus [surrendering your entire self to Him and
having absolute confidence in His wisdom, power and goodness].
16 All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and
is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction
[of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness
[learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—
behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage];
17 so that the [a]man of God may be complete and proficient,
outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
5 Examine and test and evaluat
and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves
Do you not yourselves realize and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you—unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected?
3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
2 Those who think they know something do not yet know anything as they should.
26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? What do you read there?”
27 He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul,
and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
28 And he said to him, “You have given the right answer; do this, and you will live.”
