22 But the fruit that the Spirit produces in a person’s life is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goo
23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these kinds of things.
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all,[a]
12 training us to renounce impiety and worldly passions, and in the present age to live lives that are self-controlled, upright, and godly,
13 while we wait for the blessed hope and the manifestation of the glory of our great God and Savior,[b] Jesus Christ.
11 For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that [a]brings salvation has appeared to all men.
12 It teaches us to reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives
[lives with a purpose that reflect spiritual maturity] in this present age,
13 awaiting and confidently expecting the [fulfillment of our] blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,
5 Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith
and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves
Do you not yourselves realize and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience]
that Jesus Christ is in you—unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected?
2 Those who think they know something do not yet know anything as they should.
