Scripture:
Colossians 1:20 NKJV
“and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.”
Understanding:
Through Adam, sin separated mankind from God. Because God is holy, sin had to be dealt with according to His righteousness. JESUS CHRIST, the sinless Son of God, shed His holy blood on the cross to reconcile me to the Father. By believing in JESUS CHRIST, I receive forgiveness, peace with God, and new spiritual life through Him.
Application:
I will believe in JESUS CHRIST with all my heart and depend on His finished work on the cross. I will remember that my forgiveness and salvation come only through His holy blood, not through my own goodness. I will thank Him daily for giving me new life and keeping me close to the Father.
Prayer:
In the name of Jesus Christ, Lord Jesus, thank You for reconciling me to the Father through Your holy blood; make me remain faithful to You and walk in the new life You have given me; in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
