Worship in Spirit and Truth

00:00 Praise Jesus Christ of Nazareth brothers and sisters. Today 2 July 2015 Power of Christ daily titled Worship in spirit and in truth. Spirit and in truth Worship spirit and in truth titled. Now there are.

00:18 I’m not saying musical instruments are wrong. You have musical instruments, you can have your drums, you can have your guitars, whatever you can have. But they must not become the main thing.

00:29 The main thing is worshipping Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Now worship is an important thing. That is why before worship we need to examine ourselves.

00:38 Examine ourselves. Because if we have sinned somewhere, unforgiveness or whatever, we have to lay it on the feet of Jesus and say, sorry Lord and willing to forgive. In fact, the scripture says, if you think not only you have unforgiveness, let’s
say somebody has something against me.

00:56 Some brother, some brother in the church, you know, a sister who has got something against me. God says, leave your sacrifice at the altar. I have to leave my worship first, stop worshipping, go and settle with my brother and sister and then ask for
forgiveness if I am wrong.

01:14 If there is an issue, bring it to the elders and they have to decide because that person may be unreasonable, the person may be wrong himself or herself. So God is just. So if you think you’re not wrong, still ask.

01:30 Find out what you know. Somebody has got something against you. God said, go and deal with this first.

01:35 So when you go and deal with it and then of course dealing with, dealing with these kind of things is apprehension you may not want to do it. Please, please, please find the blood of Jesus, blood of Jesus, blood of Jesus. Go and do it.

01:47 Because you want to worship Jesus Christ, you want to honor him, you want to glorify his name. You do not want to leave these things all hanging into your soul, attached to your soul and all this rubbish growing in your brains as thorn bushes heart
is being messed up. We don’t want that.

02:05 We want holiness. We want clear clarity. Our soul will be clear, spotless as chaste virgin bride.

02:11 Therefore we have take courage. Blood of Jesus, Blood of Jesus. Go and meet them and say what is it? What is it? Now if they are unreasonable, take the matter up to the elders or the pastors or whoever you have confidence in to deal with this in
Jesus name now.

02:27 But if you are wrong, ask for forgiveness. And if they need to restitute, restitute. And if you unable to restitute, ask for time, ask for mercy from them and ask for mercy from God to give you the the ability to restitute the thing restitute means
Suppose you owe them something, try and settle this.

02:44 If you cannot ask for time. So then you go for worship. Then you, God said, then you come and worship.

02:52 Then you come make a sacrifice to me. Otherwise he’s not going to accept the sacrifice. He says now it’s not only when we have unforgiveness, when somebody against us, they have something, we still have to settle it.

03:03 Because Jesus says he wants you to be salt and light now. But what is this worship? How does he want us to worship? You see, the problem here is there are people going from building to building looking for a fantastic sound system. They don’t like
the sound, the way it is presented or whatever.

03:23 They go to another place. That means that has become the focal point. Because the carnal senses, their earthly senses, natural senses, want the sounds and the systems.

03:34 They are unable to worship in spirit and in truth they are able to only carnally worship. So they love the sounds, of course, even the world songs. You listen, some of them feel good.

03:45 You can feel joy sometimes because the music can uplift anyone. The frequency touching your heart, frequency from the music instrument can make you feel joyful. But that is not worship in spirit and intrude.

03:59 You’re just having some temporary peace and happiness. So yes, have your instruments, but that is not a vocal point. Now let’s ask another question.

04:13 Supposing a disaster happens, there are no musical instruments and your worship has become a crutch in musical instruments and all the drums and guitars and the sound system and the audio and the video and all that has become a crutch to you that
without that you are unable to worship. Let us say there is no wi fi, your phones are not working, you can’t download music. How are you going to worship? Somebody is in the disaster zone.

04:40 There are people, wicked people, burning off places of worship. Remember, we are the temple of God, the church of Christ. Is each of our souls attached to Christ.

04:48 Flesh of his flesh and bone of his bone forms the church of the Lord of Jesus Christ, Church of Christ. The rest of it are buildings, they’re just places. Now wicked people are burning off places of worship.

05:02 So when you don’t have place of worship and all your music instrument is gone, then what happens? That is why Jesus says you must. It’s a must. In John 4:24 he says God is spirit.

05:13 God is spirit. So the people who worship him must. It’s a word, is must.

05:20 Worship in spirit and in truth we can kneel down 2 million times. It’s not going to solve it until we Worship in spirit and truth. Of course you can kneel down.

05:30 Of course kneeling down is good. Of course, kneeling down makes us at least begin to have some humility. But it must be worshipped in spirit and in truth.

05:42 That is why God says, amazing. You know, Jesus didn’t take our sins. In Corinthians 1 second Corinthians just didn’t take our sins.

05:55 What he did was in 2 Corinthians 5, 21, it says, for he made him who knew no sin. Jesus had no sin, doesn’t know what sin is to be sin for us. God made Jesus become sin.

06:09 Jesus body became sin. It became sin. Jesus became sin for us.

06:14 He didn’t just take our sins. And then he. He made him become sin.

06:20 And then God made him be killed. Can you imagine? So God allowed that day for sin to be killed. That day 2000 years ago in Calvary, Jesus became sin for me.

06:33 He became sin. Can you imagine how troubled, how painful. That’s why the Garden of Gethsemane, he was crying out, let not this cup pass from my lips, but thy will be done.

06:46 He is telling his staff, he knows because he can see the future. He knows what’s going to happen to him. He’s going to suffer.

06:52 It’s going to become sin. And that’s why he says, when he was praying there in the Garden of Gethsemane, his sweat became like drops of blood. Sweat became like drops of blood.

07:03 Brothers and sisters, this is the price our Lord paid for you. This is the price Lord paid for me. This is the price.

07:09 This that Jesus, to become the husband of our souls, did this. He gave his life. Not just gave his life, he became sin for us.

07:19 So that sin can be killed the day and so that he can be allowed to be whipped and tortured and killed and blood sacrifice was done. Now, taking this alone, then he says, God is spirit worship, must worship him in spirit and in truth. Now, before
that we judge ourselves.

07:36 1 Corinthians 11:31 says, if we judge ourselves in the right way, then God would not judge us. So we judge ourselves. Before going to God to worship him, you better whether lying down the bed, let’s say somebody is unable to move, he’s lying down
the bed, you can worship him in spirit and in truth.

07:51 You examine yourself, everything. Maybe you have been uncaring towards the caretaker, maybe the caregivers, you have been uncaring to the caregiver. Maybe because of trauma, of your disability, so much you’re suffering and then you left down.

08:08 Yeah, caregivers love you. But then you have to get rid of all these things. Because those who are being cared for.

08:15 Many times I see many, many times, many cases I’ve seen people are being cared for sometimes act badly to the caregivers. Why? Because they are troubled so much. Their lives are in this condition and they don’t know.

08:28 And maybe their minds are not working properly. I do not know. Suddenly they upset, they’re not grateful.

08:35 Then we ask for mercy for them in Jesus name. We ask for mercy for them in Jesus name. And then we pray that they will change for their own sake.

08:43 Because these people who have been cared for, they need to be holy. They need to have righteousness, peace and joy. Now, having said this, again, in Romans 12:1, it says, I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present
your bodies, a living sacrifice.

09:01 Present your bodies. Remember, our bodies are the temple of God. It’s not the building.

09:06 Our bodies present it as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And many translations will say, spiritual worship. This is your spiritual worship.

09:20 First we must make sure that our bodies are holy. Our temple of God is holy. And that’s very easy.

09:26 Examine ourselves, Ask God for mercy, Lord, confess, Lord, confess with your mouth. Believe in your heart. Receive his blood, and his blood washes our sins away.

09:37 After all, he became sin for us on the cross that day. Now, in Luke 7, now let’s look at this. So let’s not be bothered with all these exterior things of worship.

09:50 We now want to go into worship in spirit and in truth. So Luke 7. What came to my spirit this morning is Luke 7:37.

09:58 He says there 37, 38. If many will remember this, there was a sinful woman in that town. She knew that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house.

10:07 So the woman brought some expensive perfume in an alabaster jar. She stood at Jesus feet, crying. Then she began to wash his feet with her tears.

10:19 She dried his feet with her hair. She kissed his feet many times and rubbed them with the perfume. Now this woman was worshipping him with spirit and in truth.

10:32 Spirit and in truth. Now, if today we take a moment and look at this and say, Lord, so this can be done anywhere, anytime, in your office, in your bed. Just thinking of this particular event.

10:45 It was written down for us. It was recorded in history, recorded in the Gospels for us. So that we can have an idea what kind of worship you just say, close your eyes, brothers and sisters, today.

10:57 Today let us be humble, close our eyes and look at this sin. This sin 2000 years ago, where this woman was a sinner. Everybody knows sinner.

11:07 That means a huge amount of sins are in the town. She is God. She didn’t mention kind of sins, but we can only imagine now she has come and she’s weeping at the feet of Jesus.

11:18 Weeping at the feet of Jesus and washing his feet, kissing his feet, kissing his feet. Before I came to the Lord, I would not bend my knees to anyone. I would stand upright and say, let’s deal with this.

11:31 Let’s deal with this. I will not budge. But when I knew Jesus Christ is the son of the living God, when he touched me and I knew he is the son of the living God, I made that statement that day to God Almighty, to Jesus Christ, and said, this is 20
years ago.

11:47 I told him, I will gladly bend my knees, kneel down and worship you, and worship you alone. I will gladly bow down, kneel down and kiss your feet, Lord. Kiss your feet.

12:04 I kiss your feet, Lord. You touched my soul. You healed me.

12:08 You gave me new life, gave me peace. You gave me your blood. You gave me your blood, Father.

12:13 You suffered there. You suffered there. You took my sins.

12:17 That time I didn’t know he became sin for us. For me. You took my sins.

12:22 You washed away everything out of me. You gave me a new life. You gave me a peace.

12:27 A peace I could not understand. A peace I never had for decades. And suddenly I’m in peace.

12:38 Because you, Jesus Christ, son of the living God, sent the Holy Spirit inside me and washed away everything and forgave me. Forgave me. And from today, I will kneel down and kiss your feet and worship you.

12:54 I’ll kiss your feet, Father. I’ll kiss your feet. I will kiss your feet.

12:59 Make me, Holy Spirit, kiss Jesus feet. Because he is the son of the living God. And I’m grateful to him.

13:08 Grateful to him. Nothing I get is okay. I kiss your feet, Lord Jesus Christ, because you are my God.

13:18 You are my Savior. You are the one who washed my sins away. You are the one who gave me the peace.

13:24 I could never understand. I couldn’t believe it existed. I couldn’t believe that you are real.

13:30 And you suddenly become real to me. You are my creator, the husband of my soul. Brothers and sisters, brothers and sisters.

13:41 Today, wherever you are, take time. Take time. Think of this case that was written down for us.

13:46 Take time and imagine your willing. Willing in spirit and in truth. Examine yourself.

13:53 Get rid of everything. Keeping our bodies Temple of God holy is a reasonable service that God expects and is actually spiritual worship, all these things, okay, goes on, music and all that. Yes, they are primers.

14:07 They make us come into some kind of attitude of worship, they say. But actually, even in the midst of the music and all, when I’m worshiping God, what we have to do, what I pray that have is the music I shouldn’t even bother hearing. I must be Jesus
in me.

14:25 Ask that Lord Holy Spirit, make us when we worship Jesus Christ. It’s all in all. Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Son of the living God and the gratitude we have for him fill our hearts with love and gratitude for Jesus.

14:41 Jesus. Thank you Lord, for today in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
