00:01 Praise Jesus Christ. Brothers and sisters, today is the 3rd of August, 2015. Power of Christ daily still on the doer of the Word. Earning your own living.

00:13 Earn your own living. This is a command. But before I get there, let’s look at another scripture.

00:21 Seek ye the kingdom of God first, that is righteousness, peace and joy. And all your needs will be settled, all your needs will be added. All what you need will be added.

00:31 That’s the kingdom of God. So the kingdom of God is the condition of your soul, which is righteousness, peace and joy. Righteousness, peace and joy.

00:40 Righteousness comes from Jesus Christ. And because he has washed our sins, we are able to do what is right. We must aspire to do what is right, must be willing to do what is right, must think of what is right before we can do what is right.

00:52 And peace to guard our heart with the peace of the Lord. And that can only come when we want surrender to him. If you hold on to things, the devil will keep on attacking there and you will have no peace.

01:05 We must have peace, righteousness, peace and joy. Joy comes from worshipping him. Worship Jesus Christ.

01:12 Now, yesterday, for instance, stir up your love. Yesterday, in between what we are talking about, meditate on these things was stirring up love. Think of somebody and begin to love.

01:23 Stir up the love, think about issues. Yesterday the issue was, we’re talking about a mother. Think of a mother, think of your mother and can easily stir up your love.

01:31 And think of Jesus Christ. And next, when you have stirred up your love, you’re thinking also God Almighty. Why God says, how can you love God when you cannot love somebody? You see? So now when you stir up your love for your mother or your child or
somebody, that your husband, your wife and you stir up your love.

01:51 It’s not a false love, it’s not a love of the world. It’s not a lustful love. It’s a sacrificial love.

01:57 A love that you want to do things for others, you want to do things for them. A love that is sacrificial, a selfless love. When you stir that love up, then at the same time you come worshiping Jesus Christ.

02:10 Now then you are creating love, stirring up love for Christ, love for God. Now as you go on this, the doer of the Word today is earn your own living. Now the scriptures are clear.

02:24 But same time, remember those who are unable, not wanting to do, but unable, not well, sick, cannot get a job for something. There are some issues, some catastrophe has happened in that area. Whatever those who are unable, you keep holding on to
God, Jesus Christ will do something for you.

02:47 There will be others who will step in because we are the same family of God means you have been with one family, worshipping together with the children of God. The command is love one another as I have loved you. And because of that, those in one
congregation will get together and settle you.

03:05 If they are followers of Jesus Christ. And if you have been acting right, when you are able to, automatically love will come back and they will do things. If you have been acting wrongly, badly, not wanting to be one accord with others, then when
you are in difficulty, nobody may move for you.

03:24 So therefore. But let’s look at his command today in Jesus Christ’s name. I’m first reading from the easy read version 1 Thessalonians 4:11 to 12, 11 and 12.

03:37 Do all you can to live a peaceful life. In Sama. The translation will be aspire to lead a quiet life.

03:45 First key. First key is live a peaceful life. You want to be at peace with people.

03:51 You don’t get into trouble. You don’t want to do things that are getting agitation for you. You don’t want to follow the world.

03:56 Do not have love of things of the world. Love of things of the world. You’re only looking for things that you need.

04:03 You’re not looking for things of the world. Not following the world. As I said.

04:06 IPhone5, iPhone25 finally. And people keep on doing things, wasting money. When the phone is working, they’ll want to change another phone.

04:14 When the car is working, no neighbor has bought a better car. All that is not on here. So God is telling you aspire to live a quiet life.

04:24 Second verse is mind your own business. Mind your own business. That’s the word.

04:28 It’s written in many of the translations. The word is simply this, minding your own business. Now, minding your own business doesn’t mean we don’t care for others.

04:38 We care for others. We love God. God will make us care for others.

04:41 Minding our own business means somebody doing something. They are not children of God. Suppose they declare to be children of God.

04:49 You have to tell them what is right and wrong when they are doing wrong. That is Corinthians. We’ll come that one other day.

04:56 That time they will say, oh, you’re not supposed to judge and all. Yes, you’re supposed to judge conduct something is going wrong. Somebody calls himself a Christian and doing a wrong thing.

05:05 You have to advise them, you have to counsel them. If they don’t listen, then let it go. We only tell if they don’t listen then go back to your minding your own business.

05:15 But rest of the world, if the world is doing something and all, don’t try to go and poke your nose here and poke your nose there. That’s what it means. Don’t become a busybody, mind your own business to work with your own hands.

05:29 And the next verse says, as we commanded you. Next phrase says, as we commanded you is a command. As we told you before, work with your own hands.

05:43 Now next one says, if you do these things, then those who are not believers will respect the way you live and you will not have to depend on others for what you need. Some translation says that you may walk if you do this thing as we commanded you.
You may walk properly towards those who are outside and that you may lack nothing.

06:05 You walk properly to the world once outside and we do as you commanded you apostles are commanding us that we commanded you. You may lack nothing. You do this so that you may lack nothing.

06:17 That you don’t have to depend on others for your needs. Because God will bless you when you work with your hands. God will bless the work of your hands.

06:26 Now this many times, it’s mistaken. People say faith, faith, faith, faith. And they are doing other rubbish.

06:33 They are lazy. I’m not talking about the people who are sick or old or something. They really cannot do something.

06:39 Those we have to take care. Those who really cannot work, we have to take care. It’s a command.

06:44 We will love them. But those who can work, who have the strength, who have the knowledge or Bagung get the knowledge. Those who want to study, don’t acquire new knowledge, don’t learn new things, just say faith, faith.

06:57 I’m a Christian. Oh, I’m in this church. You must help me.

07:01 Not true. Brothers and sisters. God’s command to you through the apostles are you mind your own business, lead a quiet life, work with your own hands.

07:13 And then you lack nothing. You don’t depend on others. In fact, you will then begin to give.

07:18 There’s another principle of God which is fundamental principle. What you sow, you will reap. So you sow into a good work you will reap, God will bless it and the devourer will not steal.

07:31 You see, this tithing is an Old Testament thing. Has been abused many times and many times misunderstood, but many times actually abused. Tithing, they say, look, give 1/10 so that God will stop the devourer.

07:47 That’s the Old Testament. The devourer is Satan. In the New Testament he took all the power of Satan away and gave you power.

07:55 So if you are in the righteousness of Christ, if you are in Christ, the devourer cannot come near you. You curse him. Get out.

08:03 In the name of Jesus Christ. Satan. You will not touch anything of me.

08:07 He cannot touch it. But then, if you are a follower of Christ, the spirit of God will compel you to give. Because now you know everything is owned by God.

08:20 Now you know everything is owned by God. You are a follower of Jesus Christ. Because you are a follower of Jesus Christ.

08:26 Everything is owned by God. You will give. You will give freely.

08:32 You are a giver. Why you don’t fear? No fear of lack. When you don’t fear, lack.

08:33 Why you don’t fear, lack. Because your God, the husband of your soul, is with you. This fear, fear, fear.

08:45 The only way to stop fear is first spirit of fear, Cast it out in the name of Jesus Christ. Second love. First you cast out the spirit of fear.

08:56 And then you begin to love. Love God. Seek the kingdom of God and righteousness, peace and joy.

09:02 And all your needs will be settled. You love his commandments. You love his words.

09:07 You love the oh, you love what he told you to do. Work with your own hands. Yes, Lord Jesus Christ, I will work with my own hands.

09:14 I will look for work today. I will not give excuses. I will not keep on saying things that are wrong.

09:20 I will work, Lord. I will obey your commandments. I will seek your commandments, seek the kingdom of God, including seeking his word, because seeking Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

09:30 And I will live a quiet life. I live a peaceful life. I want to lead a quiet life.

09:36 Gentle spirit I must have. And while I’m living a quiet life, I am not going to be drawn by the ways of the world. I am not going to desire things that I cannot afford.

09:47 All my needs are settled. I need peace. And now when you begin to do these resistances, you will find step by step, you are not depending on anybody.

09:57 You are depending on God Almighty, Jesus Christ, the son of the living God. And your needs will be settled. You lack nothing.

10:04 I know. This happened to me after I came to the Lord. I stopped desiring the things of the world.

10:09 I started desiring Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Now, minding own business is another issue. Because remember, God said, if you think you know something, you do not know as you ought to know at the end.

10:24 Now, if those of us, those who are believers of Christ, if you really need something, if you are in a congregation that follows Christ, that is the command is what? Love one another as I have loved you. It is a higher command. He said, I give you a
new command.

10:41 Jesus Christ said, I give you a new command. To his disciples, he said, I give you a new command. You love one another as I have loved you.

10:47 And by this the world will know that you belong to me, that you’re mine. Now, if you’re in a congregation that follows Jesus Christ and does love one another, including you, you must love them as Jesus has loved you. But supposing that somebody
sitting in a congregation doesn’t care, just comes to church, goes, come to Sunday, go Sunday, go, go, go.

11:09 And then don’t care, don’t care, don’t care. And then when they’re in trouble, oh, the church didn’t help me. Humble yourself.

11:16 Be truthful. Sincere love from a pure heart. God wants us to have sincere love from a pure heart.

11:24 Brothers and sisters, though those of you listening to this, brothers and sisters, it is not over. You are not finished off. You have hope.

11:33 God loves you. But when God loves you now, he said, if you love me, keep my commandments. What are his commandments? They are prescription, authoritative prescription, authoritative remedy.

11:48 That’s the interpretation in the Hebrew text. It’s a remedy. So when he tells us, work with your own hands, lead a quiet life, mind your own business, and you lack nothing.

12:00 It’s a prescription. So whatever we are doing in the past, stop today. You start new.

12:08 God forgives us. God forgives us. He’s loving God.

12:11 Confess. Yes, Lord. I’ve not been doing this.

12:14 I’ve been doing my own thing. I will today start this. In the meantime, you know what will happen then you’ll begin to examine.

12:21 How did you get into some of the debts? I had to examine some of the debts. I got into my own desires. Yes.

12:27 I let go. I let go. I let go.

12:29 I say, lord, only you. And then miracles will happen. Why miracles happen? You have actually surrendered.

12:36 You surrendered your way of life to God’s way of life. And you begin to live a quiet life, minding your own business, working with your own hands and helping others. Giving.

12:51 Learn to give. Give. That is the commandment of Jesus Christ.

12:55 Tithing is the Old Testament. It says that if you don’t tithe, devourer will steal from you. That’s a curse.

13:03 All curses were taken on the cross already 2,000 years ago. So tithing is operation on a curse. You don’t tithe.

13:11 The devourer devour from you, so you tithe. So devourer won’t devour. The devourer has no more power.

13:16 Satan has no power. You have power. So the devourer cannot.

13:20 There’s no more such thing unless you believe. If you believe the Devourer has power, he will devour from you. So, brothers and sisters, sadly, many times this tithing thing has got people a lot of trouble.

13:33 There was one case I remember some years ago, a dentist who passed away. Today, a few years ago, he passed away. He came, somebody brought him in the middle of the night, about 12 o’clock midnight, and he’s going blind.

13:45 He had two clinics and then he was a Hindu before. And then he came to the Lord some years ago. Before that he was going to some congregation and he was angry and he was.

13:57 And it’s loudly, what happened to me. My one clinic is going bankrupt, going to be closed, and I’m going blind. I’m diabetic.

14:06 The other clinic, I cannot survive because how will I do my dentist? I’m going blind. And I’m thinking, asking, Lord, this poor man, what do I tell him? Middle of the night, midnight, God said, I asked him, why did I come? He think, you know,
everybody said, I tithe, I tithed, I gave, and then nothing happened. Others are saying they got 100,000 year and some money there.

14:28 They got a gold watch, I got nothing. What is this? Then God said, ask him, why did I come? He stopped and he’s baffled. Jesus came to set the captive free and give you power over Satan.

14:43 But he asked you to be righteous and peace and joy, seek the kingdom of God. And I told brother, until you are willing to surrender yourself to Jesus Christ, don’t look at his tithing is a tithing because you’re trying to get, to protect yourself or
get tenfold hundredfold. You know, they tell you this now, the man suffering.

15:02 How many churches are willing to take a record of all their people who tithe and see how many were blessed, how many were not blessed. But they’ll tell you, hey, you didn’t tithe, therefore you’re suffering. Not true, brothers and sisters, you have
power over Satan.

15:15 Curse him. Cast him out. In Jesus name.

15:17 He’s not going to touch any of your things. But you must lead a life that Jesus Christ has said, lead it. So you boldly get up today and say, we change our life today in the name of Jesus Christ.

15:30 Amen. I’ll follow his precepts. Amen.

15:33 In Jesus, make me the kind of servant you want me to be. Amen. Lord, move me.

15:39 Make me live a life that pleasing to your sight. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
