Romans 12:2 NKJV
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Understanding:
To know God’s will for my life, I must first surrender my own will to Him. I must not be conformed to the ways of this world, but allow my mind to be renewed by the Word of God. As I dedicate myself to Jesus Christ and obey His Word, He will guide me to understand His good, acceptable, and perfect will for my life.
Application:
I will surrender my plans, desires, and self-will to Jesus Christ. I will examine myself according to the Word of God and allow Him to renew my mind. I will place my faith in Jesus Christ rather than in the world, and I will seek to obey His Word daily so that I may know and follow His will.
Prayer:
In the name of Jesus Christ, Lord Jesus, make me surrender my will to You and trust in Your perfect will for my life, renew my mind through Your Word and teach me to walk in obedience to You, and guide me according to Your truth so that I may follow Your ways each day; in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
