Are You the King of the Jews?

00:00 Praise Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Brothers and sisters, today the power of Christ Daily 12 February 2016 Are you the King of the Jews? Pontius Pilate asking, are you the King of the Jews? Brothers and sisters, today
we must understand this. Today the Lord is leading us to deal with John 18:33. 38 Pontius Pilate asked him, ask Jesus Christ, our Saviour, the husband of our soul, our Lord, our Master.

00:08 Are you the King of the Jews? John 18:33 I’m reading from new King James Version. Then Pilate entered the praetorium again, called Jesus and said to him, are you the King of the Jews? 34 Jesus answered him, Are you
speaking for yourself about this? Or did others tell you this concerning me? Pilate answered, am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered you to me. What have you done? 36 Jesus answered, My
kingdom is not of this world.

01:06 If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would fight so that I should not be delivered to the Jews. But now my kingdom is not from here. Pilate therefore said to him, are you a king? Then Jesus answered, you
say rightly that I am a king.

01:24 For this cause I was born, and for this cause I’ve come into the world that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice. Pilate said to him, what is truth? And when he had said
this, he went out again to the Jews and said to them, I find no fault in him at all.

01:47 Brothers and sisters, let’s go through verse by verse and see how this applies to our life today. And what a fantastic, marvellous statement how Jesus answers, because he is son of God. In fact, he is God.

02:04 He is Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. He is the Word of God. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.

02:11 Father God is Father God. And because he’s the Word of God and he has taken the form of a man and he became man to dwell amongst us. And his name was Immanuel, meaning God with us.

02:23 This is the book of John beginning John John 18. Now verse 33 then Pilate entered the praetorium again and called Jesus and said to him, are you the King of the Jews? Now the praetorium is like a. Is sometimes used
the word for the.

02:38 The camp of the pilot Pontius Pilot camp. In this case a huge area because it’s been residing there for some time. It was not through going through a battle.

02:48 Battle means the encampment the camp that is his praetorium. But here it will be a big building. And all that’s where he stays praetorium.

03:15 What have you done? Jesus answered, my kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would fight so that I should not be delivered to the Jews. But now my kingdom is not from here.

03:30 Now let’s take this particular statement. My kingdom is not of this world. Brothers and sisters, do you know there’s a huge amount of Christians who believe that they have to take positions in government, politics
and all that because they think that the Bible allows it.

03:48 Yes, there’ll be New Testament, there will be Old Testament verses to this effect. But in the New Testament, Jesus Christ is clearly declaring his kingdom is not of this world. So it’s not one of the worldly
kingdoms, it’s not one of the worldly governments and say, if my kingdom is not of this world, if my kingdom were of this world, he says, then my servants would fight.

04:10 Now that is why when Christians go and fight for positions and all this in the, in the, for the government positions, for politics and all that, they don’t realize. Jesus says, I’m not bothered with this. His
kingdom is not from here.

04:32 He will come the second time and establish a kingdom. And the world governments all will bow down to him. And he will be the King of kings and Lord of lords.

04:39 And he will be a righteous government and we will be with him, the true disciples who are clinging on to him in faith and just obeying his commandments. Because we believe him, we believe his word and then he will
make us co rulers with Him. So co rulers with Jesus Christ.

05:00 And that’s the kingdom that he established, the kingdom of righteousness. Now, so so much of fight is going on and actually there’s another verse to say. The soldier, the soldier, in this case the spiritual soldier,
will not get involved in civilian affairs.

05:19 Civilian affairs. Why the soldier? We are here for a purpose. The disciples of Jesus Christ, the servants of Jesus Christ are here for a purpose.

05:28 They are here. We are here to declare the good news, declare the goodness of Christ, release the power into people to say, you can cast out evil spirits in Jesus Christ’s name. You can then tell them, look, you can
heal the sick, you can do all that.

05:43 But of course, there’s another issue. You must remember 80% of all the illnesses, to make it easy, there’s a segment I have put come from spiritual sources. And the remaining 20% is physical sources.

05:55 What we sow, what we read, what we sow is that what we will read. The poor water, the emf, electromagnetic field, the computer fields, the cell phone fields, all that. So now here he said, a soldier will not be

06:14 A follower of Christ will not get involved in politics because his work is so much, so much more important. The work is so much more important. Declaring the gospel to others and helping others, loving one another
as he has loved us as disciples of Christ, loving your neighbor as yourself, loving your enemy, even.

06:33 But if we get into politics all the time, what will happen? You’ll begin to hate the other party. One party will hate the other party because you know church. After all, the every day you’re dealing with this, oh,
the government did this, oh, the other person did this, or the other political party did this.

06:48 Only breaking up anger and frustration because your heart will be desiring some party. The other party will be doing something else. And then you get whichever party you belong to.

06:59 Doesn’t matter. Your heart will begin to get fed up. We have to obey the laws of the country, any country, and we have to.

07:07 If it’s a democratic country, then you do go for elections and you vote there. But in the meantime, you are spreading the gospel. You are helping people to see the truth in Christ.

07:14 You are helping them to get to Christ. You are praying with them, you are helping them. When you are in sorrow, angry sorrow, their hearts are struggling, their hearts are breaking.

07:26 People who are brokenhearted, you are dealing with those much more important work to do than fighting on the political issues. Because remember this, your master, if you say you are a disciple of Jesus Christ, if
you say you are a Christian, then you are declaring to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. But of course, it’s not so many, many think they are Christians.

07:47 But a Christian or a Christian must be a disciple first, because only a disciple of Jesus Christ was first called Christians. In the city of Antioch, there’s another narration, another morning segment. So therefore,
if you think you’re a Christian, you have to follow what your master says.

08:06 Your master, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, said, my kingdom is not from here. My kingdom is not of this world. What does it mean? He said, I’m not getting involved in this.

08:16 If my kingdom was from here, my servants would fight. So why are we fighting for this party? And that party and not we vote rightly, according to our conscience. That’s all.

08:26 What you believe, what you’re led by is free. You gonna vote, that’s your choice now. But then getting involved in this politic, this way, that way and arguing and quarreling.

08:36 So every four, five years there will be elections. And this continues after the election. This continues.

08:41 So what is happening here? Satan’s game for the disciples of Christ is suck your energy out into this quarrel and fighting and all. And have no peace in your body. No, because righteousness, peace and joy.

08:55 How to have peace? Every day finding fault of the other party, whichever party, other political group. Every day there’s something people post and you get upset. Why? Great work, which will be counted for eternity.

09:09 Store your treasures in heaven, where moth and rust will not eat it. What is the treasure in heaven? The work your Jesus Christ, the husband of the soul tells you to do. Store that in heaven.

09:25 Now we get involved so much here. What happens? All our heart and mind every time. The secret is this way, that way, this way, that way.

09:33 To get righteousness, peace and joy is so very hard already daily and without righteousness, peace and joy, nothing is added to you. When you have righteousness, peace and joy, all these things that you need, your
father knows, he adds to you. Again, this has been spoken about in other segments.

09:49 Now, brothers and sisters, today, focus. You are not from here. You are a pilgrim.

09:56 You are passing through. You are passing through. I am passing through.

10:00 I’m on a sojourner. I’m on a journey. You are on a journey.

10:05 Your kingdom is with Jesus Christ. Your kingdom is not of this world. Yours is a spiritual kingdom.

10:05 Your kingdom is of heaven. And then when we reach home, when he takes us home by our faith in him, he comes back to. He allows us to co rule.

10:21 We don’t have to go for elections. All he comes and takes control. Because he created the earth, he created the human beings.

10:27 So he has a right to come and establish the righteous kingdom. Where there will not be tears, where people are not broken hearted. Where could the righteous government have a righteous government of God? So brothers
and sisters, today, if you are doing all this, you have to make a choice.

10:46 If you are choosing to continue the old way, the politics and this and that, and make political jokes and political anger and political this and that. Then you work very hard to have righteousness, peace and joy.
What enters you? Remember, if your eye is single, then your body is full of light.

11:04 There’s another segment. Your body is full of light. If your eye is Single, your body is full of light.

11:11 Your eye is here and there to the world and come to Christ and all the single means single on Christ. Your body will be darkness. Then the question Jesus asked is, if your body is dark, darkness is the light in you.

11:24 Darkness. How great is the darkness now? So if we do not, as disciples of Christ, keep our eye, our sight, singularly on Jesus Christ, on Jesus Christ, what will happen? There will be problems. Some people be
suffering.

11:42 Your family may be in hospital. Your family may be going through some troubles. Some people, what we sow, what we reap, as I have done before, get into debts and all kinds of things.

11:52 And so all that going on now, if you don’t have righteousness, peace and joy, you cannot get out. But you keep your eyes singly, singularly on Jesus Christ, and all the needs will be settled and you have health.
Why? Health, righteousness, peace and joy.

12:09 It’s a beginning of health. The world will tell you stress is the cause of disease. But actually we in the Spirit will know that sin is the cause of all diseases.

12:22 And of course, we also, what we sow, what we reap in the physical side, that is also sin. We eat things that we shouldn’t eat. Of course it’s sin.

12:30 God said, take care of your body. So of course I also got into trouble. And I still sometimes eat some rubbish and sometimes I get into trouble again, then I’ll stop and then overcome and all that.

12:40 So while we are walking, I say, sorry, Lord Jesus Christ, I start again now, brothers and sisters, but there are other things you may not be able to avoid. Like for instance, the haze that comes into Kuala Lumpur or

13:03 Because the elitists who are running the world don’t care about all this. The medicines they give can also cause harm. You have to check all these brothers and sisters.

13:15 Now here, my kingdom is not of this world. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice. Then if you’re not hearing, it means if you’re not on the truth, he says, if you are of the truth, here’s my voice.

13:29 And Pontius Pilate says, what is the truth now? What is the truth? The truth is not. What is the truth is a person. His name is Jesus Christ.

14:18 He’s going to receive us to himself. So while we are fighting politics and losing this, are we going to lose this? Focus on this. Do the work of a disciple.

14:26 Spread the gospel. Cast out evil spirit from yourself and from others. Help them cast out evil.

14:33 Oh, so many things to do, day by day. And where I go, you know where I go. The way you know, he said.

14:40 Then only Thomas said, how do you know where you’re going, Lord, how can we know the way? I am the way. I am the way. The truth and life.

14:49 Brothers and sisters, can you imagine? He is the way and he is the truth. The truth is in the person of Jesus Christ. Why? The truth is God.

14:59 God is the truth and God, it’s love. And love is the truth. Now that’s why if you get into a government, this, that and politics and all that, you will get upset and all.

15:10 You can’t have love. Finally you’ll have anger. It’ll come the spirit of anger, the spirit of lies, the spirit of deceit will enter.

15:16 Because one party telling another party this and that. So, brothers and sisters, today let us understand this. My kingdom is not of this world.

15:25 He is the truth. He says now, if you are with disciples, my servant would fight. If it was my kingdom of the world, my servant would fight.

15:33 I’m a servant of Christ. I’m not going to fight of this world. I’m not going to fight for this world.

15:35 I’m not going to fight for this world. Governor. I’m not going to fight for political positions.

15:42 I’m not. Why? My Master himself doesn’t care. My Master said, my kingdom is not of this world.

15:48 Why are you fighting? So I surrender all. I surrender to him. My faith is in him.

15:53 What he wants to allow, what he does not allow. Because he says nothing happens without him approving. Literally nothing happens without him approving.

16:03 So whatever happens, we’ll subject ourselves to the laws of the government. Unless any government in any world says we cannot worship Jesus Christ, then I cannot. Then, of course, if there is a persecution, we have
to bear.

16:14 And we will bear by his grace, by his mercy, by his power, by his blood, because he is the truth. And if we do not? Then I lose eternity. I lose eternity.

16:26 Are you willing to lose eternity for this kingdom of the world? Are you willing to lose eternity because you end up fighting here and there and no peace and righteousness and no joy? And are you willing to transfer
this kind of distress into your children’s lives? Because the Spirit will transfer. The Spirit will transfer. Brothers and sisters, today make a decision.

16:46 Your kingdom is not of this world. Just our Lord Jesus Christ. And we will do what? And store treasures in heaven.
