Scripture:
John 17:22 NKJV
“And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.”
Understanding:
Because of Jesus Christ, the glory that God gave Him has also been given to those who follow Him. God’s glory in me should influence the way I think, speak, and live, so that my life reflects His love, goodness, and character and brings glory to His name.
Application:
I must remember that God’s glory is in me through Jesus Christ. [pause] Therefore, I should think, speak, and act in a way that honors Him. [pause] I will choose to love others, do good works, and follow God’s Word so that my life reflects His character and glorifies His name.
Prayer:
In the name of Jesus Christ, Lord Jesus, thank You for giving me Your glory and allowing me to reflect Your love, goodness, and truth; make me to think, speak, and act in a way that honors You and glorifies Your name, and let my life be a light to others and bring glory to You; in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
