Scripture:
2 Timothy 2:13
“If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.”
Understanding:
I should not depend on my own faith, feelings, or strength, because these can change. Instead, I should depend on JESUS CHRIST, who remains faithful. JESUS CHRIST is true to His Word, and His promises do not change. Therefore, I must focus on believing what JESUS CHRIST has said and trust in His faithfulness.
Application:
I will depend on JESUS CHRIST and His Word rather than on my own feelings or strength. When challenges arise, I will remind myself of His promises and command my heart and mind to believe what JESUS CHRIST has said. I will be a doer of His Word and trust in Him.
Prayer:
In the name of Jesus Christ, Lord Jesus, make me depend on You and Your Word, help me believe what You have said and walk in obedience to You, and teach me to trust in Your faithfulness and not in myself; in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
